But now, the landscape designer is teaming up with Amazon Australia for an exciting new project - digging up the hottest backyard trends and leading a mission to make garden gnomes cool again.They bring individuality to a garden," Albone said.

"I don't think gardens should have a 'trend', because they take so long to mature - so it's all about what the owner likes."

Millennials love gardening
According to Amazon Australia, millennials are the keenest gardeners, with 75 per cent saying that they enjoy gardening.

23 per cent of Aussies also want a veggie garden - and 15 per cent of Aussies would like to try beekeeping.

"Australians, in general, have very green thumbs, but millennials have really started to take it on," Albone said.
