Qantas boss Alan Joyce says international travel is unlikely from Australia before July next year

 Qantas says it is unlikely to restart its international travel network before July 2021, despite the federal government's hopes to have a coronavirus vaccine available to all Australians by early next year.


The airline has already suffered a $4 billion revenue hit from the COVID-19 crisis, reporting an underlying profit before tax of $124 million for the 2019/20 financial year - a 90.6 per cent decline - compared to $1.33 billion the year before.
